She is Professor in Animal Microbiology-Immunology and Parasitology in the department of Animal Production in the Technological Educational Institute of Epirus since 1996. She has studied in the Veterinary School of the Aristotelian University of Thessaloniki, Greece, in Institute Pasteur and in Institut de Chimie des Substances Naturelles - Centre Nationale de la echerche Scientifique – Paris, France (her Ph.D degree). She has coordinated and participated in International Scientific research projects (23), in a variety of areas in environmental microbiology, microbial biodiversity, animal health and mastitis, proteomics and functional food. She has 40 papers in peer-referred international journals and 105 papers and presentations in international and Greek conference proceedings. The published scientific work has been cited in 189 peer reviewed scientific papers. Author h index=8. She has very good experience in research projects since so far has participated in 19 national and European research projects. Reviewer of articles in refereed scientific journals. She is teaching in the postgraduate programs: 1. Agriculture and environment, 2. Agricultural Chemistry and Organic Agriculture.
